What it does

Three AI noise models

Model #1 covers all common background noise, #2 is tuned for wind, street and traffic, #3 for home and office rooms. Pick the one that matches your recording.

Video as well as audio

Handles MOV, MP4 and M4V alongside MP3, M4A and WAV. Video keeps its picture — only the soundtrack is replaced with the cleaned one.

Everything runs on the device

No upload, no account, no internet connection. Your recordings never leave the iPhone, which also makes the app usable for confidential material.

Hear the difference before saving

One tap switches between Original and De-noised mid-playback, so you know exactly what changed before committing to it.

Manual control when you need it

Noise reduction intensity from 0 to 100%, volume boost up to 300%, plus high-pass and low-pass filters for when the automatic result needs a nudge.

Record straight from the microphone, or pull a cleaned soundtrack out of a video as MP3, WAV, M4A or CAF. Save to Files, back to Photos, or share via AirDrop and mail.

Questions

Does it work without an internet connection? +

Yes. All processing happens on the iPhone itself, so the app works in airplane mode. Nothing is uploaded to a server and no account is needed.

Can it remove noise from a video, or only from audio files? +

Both. Denoise.FX accepts MOV, MP4 and M4V video as well as MP3, M4A and WAV audio. For video it cleans the soundtrack and saves the file with the picture untouched.

What kinds of noise can it actually remove? +

Wind, street and traffic noise, car interiors, air conditioning, room hum and general background hiss. Three AI models are tuned for different situations, so if one leaves artefacts it is worth trying another before reaching for the manual settings.

Will it overwrite my original recording? +

No. The cleaned version is always written as a new file, under a name you choose. The original stays exactly where it was.

How do I get just the audio out of a video? +

On the save screen, turn on Extract audio and pick MP3, WAV, M4A or CAF. The de-noised soundtrack is saved on its own, without the video.

Is Denoise.FX free? +

The app is free to download from the App Store. Some capabilities are unlocked through an in-app purchase; the current terms are always shown inside the app before you buy.
