Denoise.FX 2.3: a new audio engine

Denoise.FX 2.3 started rolling out on October 27 and is now available to everyone on the App Store. Most of the work in this update happened under the hood: the app now runs on a new audio engine.

What's new

• Even more files open. The new engine handles a wider range of audio and video formats, including recordings from more cameras and apps.
• More precise filters. High-pass now goes from 20 to 800 Hz and Low-pass from 1 to 20 kHz, so you can trim rumble or hiss in finer steps.
• Smoother processing from import to the saved file.

As before, everything happens on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded, and the app works in airplane mode. Denoise.FX 2.3 requires iOS 15 or later.

Next up: Denoise.FX 3.0

The new engine is the foundation for our next big step. Denoise.FX 3.0, with new noise removal models, is coming soon.
